Support HRVU

At this time there are NO MEMBERSHIP FEES (nor cooperative obligations) for joining HRVU - this is an entirely volunteer-operated and FREE group. But if you join, we do ask that you kindly make a pay-what-you-can donation to help offset administrative costs of hosting the HRVU website and facilitating this group.

• Do you find value in having an Unschooling group in the Hudson Valley? 

• Would you help us transform HRVU into a robust nonprofit and/or homeschool cooperative group in the future?

Then please consider a contribution!  Any amount is greatly appreciated. 

 

No one will be turned away based on how much they are able to contribute.  It could be $3.00 or it could be $30.00. HRVU is facilitated by a stay-at-home mom with a single family income who could not find a group serving the Unschooling niche. In the short term, if we could even just recoup the cost of hosting the website annually, that would be a wonderful! If we gain enough support over time, we can eventually explore the possibility of hiring an attorney to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization and/or homeschooling cooperative group. This would give members some clout when they report assessments to their school districts.  It would also mean mentors would be volunteering their time for a fully-recognized charitable cause and we can recognize their hours of service.

Currently we are accepting contributions via Venmo or Zelle, which do not charge any fees for transactions. Simply contact us if you prefer a different method of payment.
